KJ-52 spent some time with CMSpin's Nappy’s to talk about a lot of random topics and his new album which is already released!   KJ’s Five-Two Television find it in stores now!

Nappy:  You have one of the most fun Facebook/Twitter feeds of any artist!

KJ-52:  Haha!  I’ll take that.  Thank you sir!  People think I make this stuff up, but it’s my life.

Nappy:  If you could go see any show right, what show would you want to see?

KJ-52:  I’m not sure if it’s still going, but The Police Tour, their reunion tour I think was last year.  I bought the live DVD, I’m just a huge Police fan.  I was little bummed they didn’t come anywhere near Florida.

Nappy:  I wouldn’t have guessed.

KJ-52:  Yea, I’m kind of a music nerd.

Nappy:  It’s all good, how about a comic or superhero nerd?

KJ-52:  Not as much as a music nerd, but definitely.

Nappy:  This a question I’ve been arguing with my friends.  Who do you think would win in a fight, Batman or Ironman?   They’re both just rich guys who made themselves superheroes.

KJ-52:  Oh man, you just really shut me down.  Batman vs Ironman?  Both have incredible suits.  With Ironman you just have to rip that thing out of his chest and he’s pretty much gone.  Batman is technically human.  I’ll put it this way, it depends on who’s playing them in the movies.  If George Clooney is playing Batman, forget about it, he’s gone!

Nappy:  Ha!  Ok.  How about Val Kilmer playing Batman?

KJ-52: He’s gone!

Nappy:   Michael Keaton?

KJ-52:  Definitely Gone!  You have to go with low talker Christian Bale.  Christian Bale vs Robert Downey, Jr.  I’m going to slightly go with Christian Bale cause he’s a ninja.  And he does that low scary voice pretty amazing.  (KJ-52 trying to do deep voice, not sure how to write that in!)

Nappy:  Your new album is designed to be like a tv channel, right?

KJ-52:  I think it’s an idea that comes from living in an incredible visual society.  I wanted to embrace that from a musical stand point, if that even makes sense.    I like conceptual records that take people on a trip.  I thought it would be cool to tell a story.  I am fan of stories and themes.  We just engage the world through so many different senses, what a better way to do that with the record.

Nappy:  Ever thought of being a Pitchman on TV? 

KJ-52:    Ha!  If I am, I’m pitching the Slapshot!  That's definitely what I’m pitching!

Nappy:  You’re pitching the Slapshot!

KJ-52:  Slapshot, the sham-wow, or the Snuggie.  Or if there was a way to combine all three into one product.  Done!  I want a Snuggie that turns into a Slapshot, that you can pull out and use a Sham-wow!

Nappy:  Levi wants to know, who or what inspired you with your style of music?

KJ-52:  Honestly.  It’s a combination of everything.   It’s a combination of what I grew up listening to, to what I’m currently listening to.   Over the years formulating what you do and how to inject your personality better.   I don’t think there is just one thing I could say, it’s just over the years.

Nappy:  Time for some either or questions… Who’s better:  Jerry Seinfeld or Steve Carrel

KJ-52:  Ahhh, I have to slightly lean towards Steve Carrel.

Nappy:  Rather eat:  Chips or cheese puffs?

KJ-52:  Definitely chips, cheese puffs are too dirty.

Nappy:  Rather go to:  X-Games or Olympics

KJ-52:  It depends on what Olympic games, I’m going to lean towards the Olympics just cause I’ve never seen them before.

Nappy:  Rather use:  PC or MAC

KJ-52:  Definitely MAC, no question about it.

Nappy:  Rather Be:  Skiing in Denver or Beaches of Hawaii?

KJ-52:  Oh definitely beaches, I’m raised in Florida.

Nappy:  What did I miss that you would like the CMSpin readers to know?

KJ-52:  With the new record, you get a version to give away.  You get a mix tape version to give away.
