GRAMMY-nominated Red’s third single ever, “Break Me Down”, has climbed all the way to the top, coming in at No. 1 this week at R&R Christian Rock Radio. “Break Me Down” marks Red’s third straight No. 1 single at R&R Christian Rock Radio. “Breathe Into Me” was the band’s first No. 1, followed by “Already Over”. All three songs are from Red’s debut album, End of Silence.

After learning this news while on the road, somewhere in the middle of California, Red guitarist Anthony Armstrong commented, “Seriously, thanks to every single one of you that have helped get our music on the airwaves all around the country. As we travel from town to town, it is a big part of what keeps us going. We can feel the support when we are performing, and it is an honor to see the crowd singing along with our songs. Radio is a huge part of all of this.”

RadioU Program Director, Nikki Cantu, shares in the excitement, “Congratulations to Red on going No. 1 with “Break Me Down”!! Talk about a band that deserves it. They have made such a name for themselves in such a short time. I could not imagine RadioU, or our industry, without them.”

“Break Me Down” has also entered the Top 5 at CRW Christian Rock Radio.

Red will be a part of “The Revolution Calling” Tour, with Grits, Falling Up and Wavorly, among others, which runs Monday, July 16 through Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Red also has multiple upcoming dates with multi-platinum Breaking Benjamin. Visit www.myspace.com/dropofred for a complete list of upcoming tour dates.

Since the June 6, 2006 release of its debut album, End of Silence (Essential Records), Red has toured non-stop, collected three No. 1 radio singles (“Breathe Into Me”, “Already Over” and “Break Me Down”), won a Dove Award (Rock Recorded Song for “Breathe Into Me”), and received a GRAMMY nomination in the category Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for End of Silence. The five-member band is: Michael Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums. End of Silence was produced by Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel, Sixpence None the Richer).
