Schechter Guitar is a American based
manufacturer of electric guitars, bass guitars and steel-string acoustic
guitars. Like many guitar manufacturers, Schecter was founded in the
70's. They started originally supporting other manufacturer's
guitars with parts.
They are headquartered in Burbank California in
the United States. In the 80's, a group of investors from Texas bought
David Schecter out and moved the company to Dallas Texas. Later it was
sold to entrepreneur from Japan who owned ESP Guitars.
