Gibson USA started in 1974 in Nashville TN
making Les Paul Guitars. Sporting innovation not seen in most other
brands, their vintage styling's became a huge success. From flametop
sunburst Les Pauls to dot-neck versions of ES-335, Gibson continued
strong in the 80's.
Gibson's branding strongly hinges on endorsements from popular musicians
from all over including B.B. King, Chet Atkins, Jimmy Page and Joe Perry.
In 1986, Henry Juszkiewicz and David Berryman rescueds Gibson from financial
trouble restoring the Gibson reputation for quality.
